TORONTO (Reuters) :
A Canadian man who smuggled 38 turtles in his pants has been given probation, a fine and has been banned from owning such reptiles for 10 years. According to Canada’s environment department, Dong Yan of Windsor, Ontario, had tried to bring the reptiles from the United States into the southern part of the province. “The turtles were contained in plastic bags and taped to Mr. Yan's legs,” Environment and Climate Change Canada said in a statement on Thursday. Yan was convicted on February 17 after he was caught during an inspection in 2014 when he tried to enter Canada through the Niagara border crossing, the department said. Yan’s probation is for two years, and his fine was C$3,500 ($2,600). He was also sentenced to 50 hours of community service and must notify the environment department of international travel. Yan was also ordered to write a letter about his experience “for publication as the department sees fit.” I think that title is clear enough. Top successful organizations. I find that the keys to a good organization are as follows. You need good structure. You just need it. You need a good foundation too, it really is important. You kinda just need good foundation. You need time, it really is time that is a key. You need it. You just need it.
Without further ado, here is the list of top successful organizations. According to an ESPN article posted approximately one hour ago, The NFL salary cap will rise 2 million in the upcoming 2016 season. This is great news for a lot of different fan bases. Mainly some AFC East teams, The Patriots, The Bills, and Dolphins. All of which are ranked in the bottom 10 of NFL teams in terms of cap space. The Patriots could really use the extra two million to resign the young talent on their defense. I do not expect the Patriots to be big players in Free Agency they will grab a good offensive linemen and a cheap between the tackles running back. Washington (CNN) -
Ben Carson suggested that if elected president he might be the first African-American to hold the position noting, President Barack Obama was "raised white" and outside of the United States. "He's an 'African' American. He was, you know, raised white. Many of his formative years were spent in Indonesia. So, for him to, you know, claim that, you know, he identifies with the experience of black Americans, I think, is a bit of a stretch," the retired neurosurgeon told Politico's Glenn Thrush on his "Off Message" podcast aired Tuesday. Over the weekend I was with my buddies in Boston. It was late, it was dark. Our crew had broken off for a good portion of the night but around midnight we all met up at the usual apartment we congregate at. We were doing our thing trying to stay lifted after a confusingly far walk back from all you can eat sushi. Two of our 5 passed out, so while two of us, including me, tried to wake up the fallen members, the last remaining went outside to a joined balcony to smoke a boge. After a good 20 minutes of unsuccessful attempts to reanimate the others, the fifth friend comes running into the room, totally out of breathe mumbling about blind people.

Pro BMX biker Dave Mirra, who was one of the most decorated athletes in X Games history, was found dead Thursday of an apparent suicide. He was 41. Officers in Greenville, N.C., found Mirra in a parked truck, killed by what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to a statement released by the Greenville Police Department. Mirra was a beloved figure in the world of extreme sports, and his name headlined several BMX video games. Until the 2013 X Games in Munich, he held the record for the most medals in history with 24. Of those, 14 were gold medals. Florida a lawless wasteland until today when this video went viral, spamming televisions on local news network. Apparently the guy not robbing the place holds two boxing titles in the state of Florida. He was visiting his girlfriend who worked at the pharmacy when the tall skinny white guy bursts in demanding Oxy 30s. The boxer must have been thinking one thing and one thing only, Valentines Day Hero sex. Two of the five best types of sex. If your the girlfriend, you have to wreck your boy that night. You gotta give him something to write home about. This boxer gave his girl the best Valentines gift you can ever get, some junky thief white boy scrambled bloody on the ground in the name of her honor, and AT WORK. Everyone even Gabe and Delilah saw that one, there's so much salt behind that counter, Legal Sea Foods wants to lease the space. What the fuck is up with the bandanna man? This ain't the wild wild west, get your skinny crack smoking white ass down to the sports supply store and buy a fucking ski mask like everybody else who robs Walgreen's on Valentines Day. Running Backs:
Matt Forte, Good running back, tall, strong, agile. Great receiving back and a decent blocker. He can be a three down back but at his age of 30, it is not the best fit for him. He should be a second down, mainly third down running back. He is by far the best Running Back in the free agent class, so he will have interest around the league. The best fit for him is either New England, Dallas, Carolina. Carolina and New England have established #1 RBs, Dallas does not but with the offensive line they have down there Forte could do a lot of damage as a starting RB. New England would be a team that he could be in a stable where he would be used as a specialist. In Carolina he would be the second back getting more snaps than in New England potentially. Age may play a big factor with Forte. I expect New York Jets, Washington and the 49ers will try and make a bid. Chris Ivory, Pretty good running back. Stout, bruising, and surprisingly agile. He was a good fit in New York, surprised that they did not resign him. He's in his peak years at 27. Ivory is a between the tackles runner. You don't get much from him in the passing game. Putting him in shotgun doesn't work well either. Washington makes sense, based on a couple sites estimation they have somewhere between 7-13 million. Getting Ivory won't be expensive, even with the bad market for free agent backs. Almost one dimensional RB, not a lot of teams need RB, and the devaluation of the RB position, Spotrac posted his market value contract is 3 years 12.3 million. That puts him at 4.1 average annual salary. I would say that valuation is a bit high but if a few different teams bid against each other that could be a reasonable max he would get. I'd put him at the same 3 years 10.2 million, a little over 3 average annual salary. At that number he becomes intriguing to Seattle whose between 21 - 23 million. They need a power running back after Marshawn Lynch retired. Miami might be another team interested in his services, they only have three RBs on their roster currently and Lamar Miller is not one of them. They could really use Ivory as between the tackles runner. The problem is cap space, they are estimated between 6 and 8 million. Miami has a bunch of holes in their roster so something is going to have to happen in the draft or free agency. If they are going to plug holes in free agency, they need to focus their cap space on defense. Lamar Miller, Now that hes out of the black hole that is the Dolphins offense, he has quite a few choices. He might be the best running back in the free agency class because of how young he is, 25. Also he did not get a lot of work in his 4 years on south beach. He had over 200 carries once in his 4 year career, 2014, 216. He is talented, can be a #1 back. Not great stats in passing game but I think that's because of his split playing time. His estimated market value contract is 4 years 20.3 million. 5 million average annual salary. Again I think this is a bit high for a guy who rushed for 1000 yards once, even with lack of carries. My number for him would 3-4.2 million average annual salary at the same 4 years. Miami can't resign him even though they probably wanted to. Washington, The Jets, The Lions, The Bucs, and the Raiders are teams that make sense for him. The Bears are an interesting team. They are trying to rebuild, they have a high draft pick, #11, and a lot of cap space between 58 and 60 million. Miller is young and they just did lose Matt Forte. CNN:
South Dakota could become the first state to ban transgender students from using restrooms of the gender they identify with. The state Senate passed the bill Tuesday in a 20-15 vote, after the state House approved it 58-10 last month. The measure now goes to Republican Gov. Dennis Daugaard's desk. If the governor signs off, school restrooms, locker rooms and shower facilities that could be occupied by multiple students may only be used by students of the same biological sex. The bill states that if a student says he or she is transgender, and a parent "consents to that assertion in writing," the student should be given a "reasonable accommodation." A "reasonable accommodation" could include a single-occupancy restroom, a unisex restroom or the controlled use of a restroom or locker room, the bill states. At first I was drawn back by the title of the article on CNN. And usually I would never peruse CNN for blog worthy material, but the worlds changing and transgender people are a key example in this. As I read through the entire article I found that I don't have a problem with the bill being pushed through South Dakota legislature. People should be able to go to whatever bathroom they choose within reason. Womens bathroom should be for people with vaginas, Mens bathrooms should be for people with penises. Pretty simple. The whole argument for Transgender people using the bathroom they identify with is that they feel comfortable doing that right? Well I am pretty sure the reason there are gender separate bathrooms is so that both genders can feel comfortable doing the most uncomfortable thing in public. Sorry but it makes sense. If were going to be fair to everyone we should have gender separate bathrooms in schools. Your personal life choices are yours to make by yourself. Public schools can be a vicious place, though. All it takes is one person to say something mean and jokes begin to spread like wildfire. So it makes sense to me if a transgender person feels uncomfortable in the bathroom of their biological gender, that they get a separate or unisex bathroom that they can use. Update: 2/18/16: it seems like people are pretty pissed off about this. I don't get it. Actually I do. People read the first line of the article and then quit to join twitter outrage. Well I'm pretty sure it clearly says, if they want to they can have their parents tell the school to make their whatever a special bathroom. How is that not fair? Get your own bathroom? I don't think I have ever had my own bathroom, they should be happy. Just a tweet about this from username al pal @aliceserine: ".@SDGovDaugaard the youth of this state is going to leave if legislators continue to violate our rights and silence our voices". Good one. Really great. First question, where are you reading this "the right to go to the wrong bathroom thing"? Because I am pretty that does not exist. Follow up question, do you really think any amount of people leaving South Dakota will do anything to South Dakota? Because I don't. I think its kinda odd that people are making such a big deal about this. This country does not make laws for the loudest or most annoying groups of people, wait a minute. We make laws for everyone. School bathrooms are literally all the same. Except that one has devices suited for people biologically born with a average to small rod like sex organ, and the other has more toilets for vaginas. If you really want a special bathroom, just make your fucking parents send a letter to the schools admins and they will turn whatever broom closet into a sexless, neutral gender identity safe space all for yourself. Only in South Dakota though. Associated Press:
Former NFL star Darren Sharper has a new plea hearing Thursday, further indication that his plea agreement in a drug and sexual assault case is off, federal court documents show. Earlier this month, court records showed that Sharper had renewed plea negotiations with federal prosecutors and was preparing a trial defense. Sharper had pleaded guilty as part of a deal involving charges in four states, but a federal judge deferred acceptance of the deal last year. He also has pleaded guilty or no contest to similar charges in state courts in California, Arizona, Nevada and Louisiana. Court records show that U.S. District Judge Jane Triche Milazzo last week also pushed back a trial date for Sharper and his two co-defendants: Brandon Licciardi and Eric Nunez. The trial had been set to start March 7, but now it is set to begin May 16. |
