Microsoft's Xbox posted a teaser video on their Facebook page of it's semi-new console the Xbox One S. Kinda like the iPhone, Microsoft will attempt to release the same console every year and just add a letter to the end of the name, hoping people don't notice.
I don't get why the major gaming companies are doing this, Playstation is also releasing a new console which isn't really new. The Playstation Neo boasts nearly everything that the Xbox One S does, except the big aspect of the Neo is it's compatibility with Playstation VR.

Technically, I get why they are doing this, money. In a perfect world, the console companies would wait until new tech comes out. Something that gives better video quality, exponentially larger memory, science fiction virtual reality, or maybe a console that can hold all of our disks inside the system itself. Microsoft and Sony can say that they've improved video quality and memory but that is all circumstantial. We won't know until consumers actually get their hands on the systems and test it out for themselves. As I've learned, just because the specs say the console should do it, doesn't mean it can or will actually do it.
