Women sues Microsoft over Forced Windows 10 Upgrade and wins

A Californian women sued Microsoft after her computer tried to automatically install Windows 10 software. The women stopped the installation process, which left her computer utterly useless.

Teri Goldstein of Sausalito, California says that she had never heard of Windows 10 until her PC attempted to install it. The automatic upgrade failed, and now her PC is slow, crashes at times, and could be useless for days.

She did what any normal person would do - she reached out to Microsoft support, which didn't help. Then, Goldstein decided to sue Microsoft for lost wages and the cost of a new PC.

She won a $10,000 judgment against the company. Microsoft had filed an appeal, but dropped it last month.

Crazy. Crazy. Crazy.

How butt hurt do you have to be when you posted $12.3 billion in net income, to file an appeal over $10k? 

The big story here is Teri. She fought the good fight, and won it for the people. I fucking hate these automatic updates. My laptop asked me for nearly 5 months to set a date to update its software, and if you know me you know I don't like change. Especially when it comes to my technology. So if Teri can set a precedent and stop this nonsense of forced updates, I am all for it.
