USA Today posted still photos of the new Power Rangers suits that were presented to audiences at the San Diego Comic-con. Let me save you some breathe, they look stupid as.
Production on the reworked Power Rangers will begin on March 24th, 2017.
Power Rangers the TV show was fucking trash. I watched that before I had coherent memories. Once I started watching it around the ages of 8, I could see how fucking terrible it was on all fronts. The acting, special effects, production, directing whatever aspect you could think of, it was shitty in.
I honestly feel bad for anyone involved in this show.
Except for the band who made that fire intro song.
I kinda feel like I went on a bender and shot that entire sequence in the woods behind my backyard. You have to be unbelievably high to create something like the Power Rangers.
The show, every time it has been made, panders to a demographic of 6 years old and below. If you're any older than that, you have no clue what's going on. So the idea that Lionsgate, whom I respect as a production company, is going to make a feature film which supposedly will reach adult audiences as well as younger generations is insane, certifiably insane.
Maybe it's because Power Rangers was way before its time when it came to casual racism disguised as progressive diversity. The black guy has a black Power Ranger suit, the Asian chick has a yellow Power Ranger suit, the ditsy female has a pink Power Ranger suit. It seems like the creator was going for comedic racist affect.
If you go to see this movie anywhere near sober, I would suggest sitting down and reevaluating some life choices. The "I have children" excuse, doesn't work here either. Power Rangers is something we should be forgetting about, not something we parade around with CGI and show to our kids trying to impress upon them some sort of fucked up euphoria that they clearly could never experience themselves. Stay away from this movie, unless you got a .1 n above going on the blow-o-meter.
