a blog by Big Red Much like Jim Valvano and the 1983 N.C. State mens basketball team, the Warriors survive and advance to the 2016 NBA Finals. Cavaliers vs Warriors will begin Thursday at 9 pm eastern time and can be watched on ABC. For those of you who missed Game 7 of the Western Conference Finals, here is a highlight video. Trailing for most of the game, the Warriors did not hang their heads. Instead, they kept the game close going into halftime losing by only 6. In the second half the Warriors came out strong, and eventually went on a 26-6 run.
While the Thunder played a great game, the Warriors proved to be too much for Westbrook and Durant, who came up short on multiple shots down the stretch. Meanwhile, Curry did Curry things as always. Finishing the game with 36 points, 8 assists, and 5 rebounds. He was electric in the 3rd quarter, and was finally hitting his shots as he finished the game with a shooting percentage of 54%. Last nights game tacked on yet another crazy record to the Warriors already historic season. They became just the 10th NBA team to come back from a 3-1 deficit in a playoff series. Unbelievable. While many doubted the Warriors, I had a feeling in my gut that there was no way they were going home. I'm sure Lebron was tossing and turning all night, now that he knows he is not going to win the finals this year. Which raises the question, will Lebron leave Cleveland once again? I hope so, because there's nothing funnier than watching Cleveland fans burn Lebron's jersey and call him a snake. Especially after they welcome him back with open arms. If this happens, the guys down at For The Boys might have to fly out to Cleveland, and burn some jerseys with the crazy fans over in Ohio. Stay tuned for a 2016 NBA Finals preview blog in a couple of days, but for now let's just celebrate the glorious win we got to watch last night. Comments are closed.
