a blog by Big Red With the Warriors 112-101 win over San Antonio last night, they improve to 70-9. Which is tied with Michael Jordan's bulls as the 2nd best record in NBA history. If the Warriors can win out in their last 3 games, they can make NBA history with the best record of all time. HeSo last night the two best teams in Western Conference faced off in what was there 3rd matchup this season. Golden State pulled out a 112-101 win, tying the Bulls record for 2nd best record of all time. Absolutely amazing. Imagine playing 82 games in the best basketball league in the world, and only losing 9 fucking games. We are so blessed to be able to watch a team as good as Golden State. Lets take a closer look at this game. Immediately from the first quarter, we could tell that Golden State was not going to lose this game easily. Despite a couple of early turnovers in the first quarter, Golden State came out strong. In the last matchup against the Spur which took place in San Antonio, Golden State ended the game with only 79 points. Last night, the warriors ended the 3rd quarter winning 87-69. Chef curry led the Warriors with his 11-19 for 27 pts, 9 ast, 5 reb, and 2 stls. 15 of his 27 pts came in Golden States crazy run that took place in the 3rd quarter. They shot just over 80% in the third, and with a team that plays great defense like Golden State, thats hard for any team to match, even the powerhouse Spurs. For San Antonio, they just got unlucky. While you can discredit Golden States defense, the Spurs just weren't hitting shots in the first half. Too many easy misses, but you do have to give Golden State credit, because both there starters and bench guys can play both sides of the ball extremely well. Lamarcus Aldridge, was having a decent night up until the point where he dislocated his finger. Which did not look like a good time at all, as he jammed it right underneath the backboard. Here's a clip of him injuring it. I am very glad Greg Popovich decided to play his starters. That game would have sucked last night if it was Golden State's starters vs. San Antonio's bench. All in all it was a good game, its always fun to watch Golden State play. Last night the two teams combined for 134 wins, the most ever in a regular season matchup.
