A United States Biotech company has been granted permission to use stem cell research to try and reactivate the brains of dead humans. Sounds very interesting, but if you ask me it looks like were asking for a zombie apocalypse.
IFL Science - A biotech company in the U.S. has been granted ethical permission by an Institutional Review Board in the U.S. and India to use 20 brain-dead patients for what is sure to be a highly controversial study: From next year, they plan to stimulate their nervous systems in order to restart the brains. Bioquark is hoping that its part in the groundbreaking ReAnima project will reveal if people can at least partly be brought back from the dead.
First things first, I need to make one thing clear. I did not post the entire article because it is really long, however I will summarize one part of the article that I left out. The scientists at the Biotech company, have no idea if it will ever be possible to reactivate the brains of the dead, and they think it is unlikely that it can be done. However, they want to try anyway just to figure out once and for all if it is possible to bring back the dead.
It is such a cool idea to think about though. What if they actually had Walt Disney's brain frozen. It has been a rumor that has gone around for years now, however Walt Disney was cremated after his death. I'll tell you one legend that was actually frozen, and that is Red Sox icon Ted Williams. How cool would it be if we brought back Ted Williams brain and put it into someone else's body? I mean come on, that would be fucking amazing. While I'm fairly confident when I say I don't think it will ever be done, you still never know. Maybe this stem cell research will work, and in a few years we will be able to literally bring people back from the dead. Then this world would really be overpopulated. Comments are closed.
