a blog by La Kifo Forbes put out a list of the worlds top 50 franchises in descending order of value. Robert Krafts New England Patriots ranked 6th on Forbes list. Squeezed in between Manchester United soccer club at 5. and The New York Knicks at 7. The Patriots are evaluated at $3.2 Billion. Rounding out the rest of the top 5 is 4. The New York Yankees, $3.4 Billion. 3. FC Barcelona, $3.55 Billion. 2. Real Madrid, $3.65 Billion. 1. Dallas Cowboys, $4 Billion.
No surprises on this list, but for some stupid reason, probably the name, the Dallas Cowboys are this extremely valuable franchise even though they're terrible and have been for a long time. If anything, I would have thought their value would be going down since their stadium is no longer a new marvel of the eye. The upkeep on that place has to be huge. Also, Dallas is not even a top 5 sports market in this country. Like I said, for some stupid reason the Cowboys will always hold the title of highest fake-evaluation. The Boston Red Sox are 18 on the list, evaluated at $2.3 Billion. That is right around where the Sox should be. They have been down in the dumps since 2013, when they won the World Series and even before that they were not in a good place. The Red Sox are one of those teams in baseball like the Yankees that have a nearly unlimited payroll. The Celtics are ranked at 22 with a $2.1 Billion which is a bit surprising since the Celtics have been the irrelevant brother in Boston, after essentially being out of title contention since 2009. Even before the Big 3 in Boston, the Celtics were irrelevant. The early Paul Pierce years were brutal, as the Celtics lost year after year while the rest of Boston sports were floating to the top. It kinda shows us where the four major sports are popularity wise. Almost every single NFL team was on the Forbes's list, and a lot of NBA teams found themselves on their. There was not a single NHL team and less than half of the MLB teams were named to the list. Football is king over here and that won't change until some major rule changes the whole spectrum of the game. The Patriots just can't lose, Boston just can't lose. The Patriots are the best team in the NFL AND the 2nd most valuable in the league. If you went deep into the list and did some math, you'd probably find that Boston has the most valuable sports teams as a whole in the nation. Just when people start to drag us down, we get right back up and throw some punches. Fuck Goodell, fuck the NFL, and fuck the NFLPA. It's the NFLPAs fault in the first place. They were the ones who gave Jane Goodell impeachable power in the CBA. They were the ones who negotiated and signed the deal, so fuck them. They might wanna hide behind comments of support for Tom Brady, but really we should be suing them for fucking the entirety of NFL players over. Comments are closed.
