a blog by Big Red This blog's a couple days late, but its still here none the less. Let's take a look at Garnett's career, and all he has done for this league and the city of Boston. Garnett will forever be remembered as one of the most influential players to ever enter the NBA. In 1995, KG made the decision to forgo College and to enter the NBA straight out of high school. A decision that paved the way for dozens of other high school players for years to come. On the court, Garnett proved he was one of the most dynamic players to ever play the game. His incredible size coupled with his athleticism made for a very tough matchup for just about any defender in the league. Not only could Garnett score, but his ability to rebound combined with his crazy court vision, made Garnett one of the most elite power forwards to ever play the game. In his 20 year career, Garnett has accomplished quite a bit.
And the list can go on and on... The City of Boston will never forget KG's time as a Celtic, and I'm sure the number 5 will be retired in due time. It's so sad to say goodbye to KG and the rest of the players from the 90's, but we knew this time would come. Cue the farewell movie! #ThankYouKG and thank you to the rest of the players from 90's that blessed us with some of the best basketball we've ever seen.
