Sources have come forward saying that a new Space Jam sequel is in the works. Justin Lin the director of 4 fast and furious and the director of Star Trek Beyond will be directing and producing the movie.
The Hollywood Reporter - Justin Lin, Andrew Dodge and Alfredo Botello are ready to shoot some intergalactic hoops with LeBron James.
The Fast & Furious 6 and Star Trek Beyond helmer is co-writing, with Dodge and Botello, Warner Bros.' Space Jam 2. Lin is also looking to direct and produce via his Perfect Storm Entertainment, and sources say he will be thoroughly involved in the creative development of the project.
Well fuck that. I would not want to watch that movie with Lebron in it. Despite the fact that I thought he was pretty good in the movie Trainwreck. You would think that they would wait until he is the best player in the NBA again, if that ever happens. I think the movie would be much better with Steph Curry as the main role. Even a new space jam with Kobe Bryant would be better then this shit.
At least Kobe's career is over now, and we know he was an unbelievable player. Lebron has not won a championship in a couple years, and for all we know he could take a turn for the worse next season. Not to mention he's the only player to not miss a playoff game, must be due to the steroids he's been doing for years. Each year I think Lebron will be surpassed by a new player. This year it was Steph Curry and Kawhi Leonard. Next year I think it will be Durant and Demarcus Cousins. So why in the hell does Space Jam want to destroy its legacy by using Lebron James. He has to be the most hated athlete on planet earth. Big mistake by the Warner Bro's here. I think the only thing we can do now, is send them tons of hate mail until they recast the main role to Kawhi Leonard, Kobe Bryant, or CHEF CURRY.
Here are some of the best moments from the original Space Jam.
