In a desperation move by the Browns, they locked up Griffin to a short term two year deal worth up to $15M and $6.75M guaranteed according to Ian Rapoport. This was a move that had to happen for both sides. The free agent market for QBs fizzled after Brock Oswieler signed a overpaid deal with Texans. And the next team to bite on the big names available would have been either Cleveland, Denver, or Jets. The Browns needed to make a move this offseason, but I do not know if this is the right one. Like I said before I admired Hugh Jacksons strategy of just not doing anything and hope that people forget your a NFL team. This signing goes completely against that motive. RGIII could be a good QB but not in Cleveland and not with this offense. Sorry Hugh but you made one move to many, I dont think he escapes this year with his job intact.
