As of one hour ago the New England Patriots Instagram account anounced the official signing of free agent TE Clay Harbor.
Harbor is a former 4th round draft choice. He is 28 and his most recent stint was with the Jacksonville Jaguars, where he played for three years. Harbor is a career back up. Never has he been in a prominent role as a pro, and he won't start now. He is primarily a depth and blocking guy. NE has liked having TE's with differing skill sets ever since they drafted Gronk and Hernandez in the same year. Harbor will look to be the blocking specialist/goalline/tight protection specialist. Based on his tenure, he is a good role player. 6 years in the league, only two teams. There has to be a reason people are keeping him around. I hope to see it at training camp and OTAs because he is clearly not a receiving type TE. Expect him to be used a lot like Michael Hohohowmiahi, the hawiian guy. Actually expect him to used exactly like Michael Hohohaimahie. Comments are closed.
