ASSOCIATED PRESS: STOCKHOLM -- A Norwegian real estate broker is being praised after he found almost $40,000 hidden underneath the fireplace of his new apartment and donated all of it to a charity. Vemund Thorkildsen told The Associated Press on Tuesday that he made the discovery as he showed his newly purchased Oslo apartment to a friend two weeks ago.
After the story was first reported by Norwegian newspaper Dagbladet on Monday he has been flooded with phone calls, text messages and comments on social media from friends and strangers complementing him for his honesty. "A lot of people say that they would have done the same thing and that's good to hear," Thorkildsen said. "That gives you faith in humanity." So that was the entire article. Lets give a hand to the Associated Press for taking it down a notch and playing on our intelligence level. UHHH THANK you Mr. Associated Press. Now I can think good when I read your word papers. I am sorry Norwegia but you are no longer a country. All of Norwegia now is classified as a city state. No more delegates at the UN, no more nottin! I hope this dude is lying and he found like 100k or that he just told everyone he was gonna donate it to charity and he did not. He might have just made this completely up. No, he did make this up. Ahhh you got me, you got me. He was showing his friend the place and then found the money. Norway is a socialist city state, by law he would have had to give 20k to his friend. The loophole is if you donate the money to charity, only all the charities in Norway have to share. This way his friend backed off and he got it all for himself. What charity did he donate it to? When? Who did he talk to? Did he see Denise? Was Denise there? Denise is always there. That's what I thought. Comments are closed.
