a blog by La Kifo One of the greatest boxers and personalities died last night. Muhammad Ali was the personification of unpredictability. He would knock you the fuck out, and have some shit to talk when you got back up. The accrued 61 fights by the end of his career, winning 56, 37 by knockout. He also had Parkinson's disease, which robbed him of his speech and physical movement. He battled the disease for 32 years.
Complications arose in Ali's health a few days ago when he was hospitalized in the Phoenix area with respiratory problems. Yesterday, it was reported that he was on life support with doctors claiming the end was near. Sadly, they were right, as the all-time great passed away last evening among family and friends. Muhammad Ali's name resonates with the young and old, boxing fan or not. Not because he was bigger than his sport. Because he was his sport. Muhammad Ali is a name that should not be forgotten, it should be celebrated for its achievements, which I am sure it will. The Boys thoughts and prayers got out to the Ali family. We wish you nothing but solace in such dark times. Comments are closed.
