So Arby's released this sandwich back in January of this year. Somehow, I went months without ever hearing about it once. Unbelievable. Who in their right mind thinks to themselves "We should name our new fish sandwich, Ocean Meat!" They must have run the name by at least 10-20 people right? Like theres no way only 4-5 guys made this decision, at the very least like 20 people had to have heard this name before it went public. Maybe the marketing guys only asked a bunch of interns what they thought of the name, and all the interns just agreed so they could keep their jobs. Either way the situation is fucked. You'd have to buy me the sandwich and give me 10 bucks just to try that "Ocean Meat" sandwich.
I loved all the tweets people had this week about the sandwich. All different types of creative jokes, I think one of my favorites was a question, "Would you eat a burger that was called land meat?" Hilarious. Think about it though, I mean obviously we understand that the "Ocean Meat" is MOST LIKELY fish, however the fact that you didn't just call it a haddock sandwich is beyond me. However, there is one benefit to naming the product "Ocean Meat" and that is that everyone is talking about their new food item, and people will probably always remember this incident. So, in a sense it's kinda smart while being unbelievably stupid all at once. If any of you dare try this sandwich, tweet us your thoughts about it @ForTheBoys_Blog
