a blog by La Kifo I tried this on twitter last week and it sucked. Mainly because I screwed up and forgot to put hashtags on 90% of the tweets. Were gonna try this live blog style. Anyone who has not seen the movie, this one is for you. Basically gonna just break down my reactions to almost every scene of the movie and just jamble it all together in a typed word format. I am about 30 minutes in and it is all normal and well. What looks to be happening is the enviroment is deteriorating around them. Visibly the world is very dry looking and bright but a foggy bright. They found the drone, talked to school, went to baseball game. Let us join them on the journey from here on. Time mark 18:12.
Little girl who plays Murph is a good young actress. Time mark 20:14 Hard not to be a insane movie when you have such an amazing cast, Alfred from Batman, The bath killer from Dexter, the dude from Fools Gold, the chick from Get Smart. All of them absolute fire actors and actresses in their prime. 32:18 And with Christopher Nolan, $$$$$$$$. 36:34 Dad leaving scene so heartbreaking, can not stand it. Murph is and always will be too smart for her own good. I dont even think they give you his real name until the NASA scene. maybe. 40:14 What the fuck is happening to Coops eyes, he looks like he is going to melt. I didnt know the human face could contort in such a way. 40:45 2 father figures in the movie, Alfred and Cooper. Despite Cooper being in space Donald, Coopers father who is the serial killer in Dexter one of like 8 million, represents Cooper. Getting older, looking different, and withering away. A lot like hope and the planet, the memory of her father and hope from an outsider perspective those are dwindling away. While Alfred comes along and brings light, a new hope to Murph. He seems like the salvation. Murph needs to choose between the dying small memory of her father and the new prospective hope Alfred presents her. 51:05 Just got through the best parts of the movie here. Wormhole travel and all that shit. So awesome. So awesome. Anne Hathaway yet again plays another hateable character, catwoman, devil wears prada, get smart. All those movies plus this one, I hate her. It does not help that people who work with her say the same thing. Her monologue about love, awful, stupid. Crazy part where Cooper watches his kids recordings, I almost cried meself. I feel like they should have taken into account that the first planet they landed on had the homing beacon for a good planet, and it was waterworld with 200 foot waves. Nice job, great idea mrs. scientist. Just land on a weird water planet, tell us to come with so we can die with you and Kevin Cosner. 1:25:23 So we hit the Alfred Mann part of the movie. Just saying... I dont trust a bitch, first time meet em, they be crying. I never got how such a supposed smart person could be so dumb. I think it has to do with a lot of what Alfred from batman said towards the beginning something like they were using what they had, then Cooper when they are on the water planet said they had no survival skills which anne hathaway does not deny. Basically these scientists were mainly theorist, guys who could solve equations, do analytics all the lab coat and desk jocky shit. They were not trained to survive and what to do if they landed on a shitty planet. Whatever, Mann is still a huge bitch. 2:01:52 Here at the end, past the black hole, right as Cooper awakes. I would try and explain the black hole part, but I really do not get it, something to do future beings who live in 5 dimensions and can manipulate them. Weird, real weird. Had to almost be in tears when Cooper meets with Murph again. That is some damn hard ass shit. Overall, great movie. It should be seen in theatres that was by the best experience. Go out an watch it on Hulu or some illegal site you might know because it is definetly worth the 2:30 hour run time. I'd give this live blog a B, I had to pause a couple times to take care of some shit. It took me longer than expected to finish the movie. Learn and adapt. Comments are closed.
