Jake Arrieta is the leagues reigning Cy Young winner and he's off to another hot start this year. 4-0 to start the season and he's already tossed his 2nd no hitter in as many years. Jake has gone above and beyond the call of duty for what the Cubbies got him from Baltimore for. In the last 2 seasons Jake Arrieta has gone 26-6 with a win percentage of .8125%. The leagues best dating back to last year and into the start of this 2016 season.
Jake Arrieta as it clearly states above is on one of the most impressive runs we've seen from a hurler in baseball history. The only loss in the last 24 starts coming against Cole Hamels when he tossed a no-hitter against the Cubs in Chicago.
If you happened to catch either of his no hitters, he was tremendous. A walk shy of a perfect game in both, and his walk came in the 9th inning last night to the first batter he faced. Most guys play and barely get 5 years, some guys play 20 years and still never throw a no-hitter. Jake has 2 in 2 years now, and is not stopping on his quest to guide the Cubs to their first World Series title in 108 years.
Side note: Shout out to the guy with huge nuts who ran on the field last night to celebrate with the Cubs in Cincinnati. (Picture below)
