I Draw the Line at Trans-abled

For the masses of you that luckily, are not aware of what transabled is, here is a quick blog that will ruin your blissful ignorance.
To put it bluntly, someone who claims themselves as transabled, is someone who desires/wants/romanticizes being disabled. It does not limit the individual to a specific type of disability. It is simply a person who wants to be disabled in whatever specific capacity they desire.

Nationalpost.com:

When he cut off his right arm with a “very sharp power tool,” a man who now calls himself One Hand Jason let everyone believe it was an accident.

But he had for months tried different means of cutting and crushing the limb that never quite felt like his own, training himself on first aid so he wouldn’t bleed to death, even practicing on animal parts sourced from a butcher.

“My goal was to get the job done with no hope of reconstruction or re-attachment, and I wanted some method that I could actually bring myself to do,” he told the body modification website ModBlog.

His goal was to become disabled.

People like Jason have been classified as ‘‘transabled’’ — feeling like imposters in their bodies, their arms and legs in full working order.

“We define transability as the desire or the need for a person identified as able-bodied by other people to transform his or her body to obtain a physical impairment,” says Alexandre Baril, a Quebec born academic who will present on “transability” at this week’s Congress of the Social Sciences and Humanities at the University of Ottawa.

Yeah, I guess it's starting, the end of the world.

Well, maybe not the end of the world, but the end of the world that I want to live in.

Can someone please tell me why this is happening? Why? Why do people think that a desire to become disabled willingly is anything but some sort of deficiency or illness?

This is not a thing, at least I will never consider it legitimate. If you want to scam the government, do it in a respectable way like the rest of us. Don't go around saying you want to be disabled because if I was betting man, I would bet these people really don't understand what it means to be disabled.

Can me a dreamer, but I believe there is a reason we've put a such a word in front of the description. There is also a reason that these people get disability checks, and accommodations like parking spots. And it's because being disabled sucks.

Please, name a disability that would be preferable to being healthy, there ain't one. Like I said, there are reasons behind the name alone. If you still don't understand, let's go back to elementary school tactic, break the word down. Now class what sub-words can be made out of the word disability?

Dis and ability. What does dis (yes it is an actually word in our dictionary) mean? To disparage; belittle*. What does ability mean? Power or capacity to do or act physically, mentally, legally, etc.*. Now put those two definitions together, what do you get? The disparaging/belittlement of ones power or capacity to do or act physically, mentally, legally, etc.

Whomever chooses to disable themselves willingly, is stupid. Dangerously stupid. I almost can't believe that this is happening. But this is one I will stand by until the day I die, if you WANT to be disabled then get the fuck out of my face.
