What's going on chumps, back after a long hiatus. BUT IT'S BRUINS TIME BABY! Already posted my questionable Bruins game day snaps, been wearing my hat, jersey, socks, and boxers ;) since I woke up this morning... Got my sports bar money ready, it's going to be a fantastic Thursday!
Just a few key notes in my absence that I wanted to touch on since I am a baseball fan and a native of Boston. 1. David Ortiz is the most clutch hitter of all time and if I see him and Jeter get compared again in terms of hitting clutch for that matter I'll throw up everywhere.. I don't think it's a question that Derek Jeter was better overall, I mean he played Shortstop for 20 years...
2. The Indians? I can see Corey Kluber beating Price obviously (sidenote 1 more year than dump Price), but a 3-0 sweep to send David into retirement??? BOOOOOO!
3. Last but not least, he's not coming back guys... They retired his number numbnuts... But without further ado... Let's get into what I came back to talk about...
So to start the year I'd like to make my prediction on this season for the Bruins, mind you obviously I actually do know our current circumstance defensively this guess is solely best case scenario in my mind.
38-28-6 (W-L-OTL) 82 PTS NO PLAYOFFS Now let me tell you why you should still watch...
If you loved the Boston Red Sox recent success and triumphs in the regular season, with using young talent and having a robust offense then you should buckle in and get set for this year. Because just like the Red Sox, the Bruins (pitching) defense and goaltending will be HEAVILY tested, especially in these first few weeks.
With Boston set to have 4 rookies debut on opening night in Columbus tonight, we have plenty to watch for. Most notably Boston's young and bright future. 2 forwards and 2 defensemen set to make their NHL debuts tonight for the Bruins. These defensemen get their shot due to injuries to McQuaid and Kevan Miller. 1.) On defense we have the 19 year old Brandon Carlo to make the first defensive pairing with Chara. 2.)The 2nd D-line will have 23 year old Robbie O'Gara, drafted by Chiarelli over 5 years ago out of Yale will finally make his debut tonight in the black and gold. On offense due to Bergeron's injury we will also have 2 more guys making debuts. 3.) Austin Czarnik, will center the third line with Hayes and Beleskey. Czarnik (23) will at 5'6" 160lbs will center between two very physical players so I will be interested to see how this line plays out tonight. 4.) Last but not least Dan Heinen (21) 6'1" 185lbs will bring some more stability to the Krejci-Spooner line who were broken up last year due to Krejci's injury and the need for Spooner to play center.
But for real guys it's Columbus!? Should be a W to open the season no matter if we ran me out in net tonight the Jackets suck, they're just one of those sucky teams, that's just sucky suck sucked since I was born. Like the Indians..... Fuck
