Last night Chris Young stayed in contention to get more and more at bats while David Price delivered one of his most promising starts yet. Going in to last nights start with an ERA just below 5.00, Price was set to not show up in game against the hot San Francisco Giants. Yet he did and went 8 strong innings only allowing 2 runs on 3 hits and punching out 7. Giving up 2 home runs ended up being the downfall of the Red Sox last night though as "MadBum", was on the pitching side for the Giants and he has been dominant this year. His only fault came off of Chris Young in the top of the 4th on a solo shot.

The Red Sox stopped in San Francisco for a brief 2 game series against the Giants which they split before heading to Minnesota for a 3 game set this weeked starting tomorrow night.

Friday 8:10 EST - (BOS) Wright (6-4) 2.29 ERA vs. (MIN) Duffy (2-4) 4.79 ERA
Saturday 2:10 EST - (BOS) Rodriguez (1-1) 5.40 ERA vs. (MIN) Gibson (0-3) 6.10 ERA
Sunday 2:10 EST - (BOS) Porcello (7-2) 4.04 ERA vs (MIN) TBD
