a blog by La Kifo The Star Wars Universe has seen an expanse comparable to the Marvel and DC cinematic universes. Not only do we have the rest of the new generation trilogy, we're getting Rogue One, a Han Solo origin, and now a new Darth Vader story. Thanks to ILM x Labs, we will experience immersive story telling through the medium of virtual reality. 'Trials on Tatooine', is a VR demo offered on HTC Vive for free. This demo is a free preview of what is to come with a new Darth Vader immersive story. David S. Goyer, the screenwriter of Man of Steel and Batman Begins, is set to write the untitled Vader project. I don't care about this. Virtual Reality isn't big enough to be releasing a "immersive" movie experience on it. There hasn't even been a front-runner in VR technology. If I were to walk into a Best Buy or some shitty large store, I wouldn't recognize a single product the employees would try and sell me.
Excuse me, but I'm gonna wait until there a clear leader of the pack before I buy one. Besides, I didn't even like Episode 7: The Force Awakens so I'm not going to shell out $500 to see something I inevitably won't like. Comments are closed.
