a blog by La Kifo Breaking but not shocking news coming out of UFC. Conor McGregor was bumped from the card when he refused to fly to Las Vegas to shoot promotions for the fight. Rumors have been spiraling that these two enemies would most likely be the ones the replace the headliner of the event. By now most are caught up to odd circumstances surrounding the supposed historic television event UFC 200. A few hours ago today, Dana White (UFC president) announced Jones v Cormier. Now this move means a couple different things. First it means that Nate Diaz is done fighting for the time being. At the UFC 200 press conference, the 31 year old made it clear that if he wasn't fighting McGregor he was gonna "go on a vacation". Diaz was a good fighter but he's not walking away from anything. He is the #5 contender in his weight class, after Anthony Pettis was defeated be Edson Barboza. Diaz's record is pretty average too, 19-10. Other than that he also said that he has really nothing else to do in UFC, claiming that he has fought everyone and that he wasn't the one who wanted the UFC 200 rematch. Striking Diaz from the card and getting two new fighters is the best move. It's not like Nate Diaz is this generational fighter. He beat McGregor on his first fight above 145 lbs. Hindsight is king, and hindsight tells me McGregor is unstoppable at 145, at 170 he is just another face in the crowd. Diaz took every punch Conor had, even his famed left hook and still stood tall. What I'm getting at is, I would much rather watch Daniel Cormier v Jon Jones than McGregor v Diaz. Cormier v Jones will feature two fighters at the top of their game, two fighters who hate each other, and two fighters who have a history in the ring. Jon Jones is the best pound for pound fighter in the world. Cormier is the best wrestler is the world. Nate Diaz is a past his prime fighter, and McGregor should not be fighting at 170. Any non casual UFC fan should recognize that this is like a rainbow blowing out the dirty poop ass of a crying baby. It's good. I am now even more pumped for this fight. Just the promotion videos for these two are fucking electric. Fuck the one man promotion show of McGregor. These guys legit hate each other and it is awesome.
