A blog by Big Red
Let me open up by saying THANK GOD we got Jae back. So apparently Jae is able to play in either tonights game or tomorrow against Golden State. Now I know everyone will be upset that we use Jae tonight instead of tomorrow when we could really use his energy, however I think this is a smart move by Brad Stevens.
Now I know you can say with Crowder we really have a chance to beat Golden State. However, I was actually in box seats, quick flex, at the Golden State Warriors game in the first half of the season, and there were many mistakes Golden State made that kept us in the game. On the contrary you can argue that Brad Stevens had not one but TWO attempts to win the game, (last few seconds of the 4th, and last few seconds of the 1st OT). Instead, Stevens let IT4 isolate curry for the win, and both times it went horribly. However, we were able to hold curry to 9-27 from the field, which will be hard to again with or without Jae.
People are arguing that we have beaten the Trail Blazers rather easily and that Jae should hold off for Golden State. However, Damion Lillard has been playing lights out since being stiffed from All Star Weekend. Lillard’s numbers have risen to: 25.4 PPG, 6.9 APG, and 4.2 RPG. The guy has been scoring in a number of ways, and has really shown the fans that he deserved to be at all star weekend. People are also forgetting that the last time we played the Trail Blazers they were coming of a stretch of 4 games in 5 nights. So tonight the Celtics should see a far more intense Trail Blazers team, one that I’m sure will not want to lost two straight to Boston let alone any team from the East. So stay tuned in for a blog recapping the game tomorrow. In the mean time, grab a 6 pack after work, maybe even roll up a half time blunt, because I’m sure this one will be interesting. Tip off starts at 10:00 p.m. eastern time. Let’s see if Jae can do this again tonight. Comments are closed.
