Bruins Don't Show Up

So now that it's official, the Bruins for the second consecutive year in a row have choked on their playoff hopes down the stretch. For the 2nd year in a row we will miss the playoffs by a matter of 1 game. 1 game this year that we could've held onto, you can point to any number of them. But for the start of this blog let's focus on yesterday.

I turned on the game yesterday with a gleaming hope in my heart, the Bruins were coming off a fantastic game against the Detroit Red Wings at home. The Ottawa Senators were set to play Andrew Hammond their backup and the guy who single handedly stole our playoff spot last year going 20-1-2 down the stretch for the Senators. So who else would the Bruins want to embarrass in their last game to push themselves into a playoff spot but this guy? So come to game time and we find out that Tuukka Rask is "sick", commentators saying he could barely function in warm ups. First off, if you don't have the black fucking plague get between the pipes you squid, I don't give a shit if you're puking on the ice. For $7 million a year you'd better want to play in that game more than you want to live. I watched his bitch ass come out for warm ups.... It looked like how my little brothers try to fake sick to get out of school, absolutely ridiculous, like the "ow mom my throats sore and my tummy aches type of shit".

Patrice Bergeron played in the 2013 cup final against the Chicago Blackhawks with a fucking separated shoulder, and a cracked rib. Gregory Campbell finished a shift with a broken leg, after eating a 90mph shot from Evgeni Malkin in that same 2013 run. So fuck you Tuukka you're a huge pussy.

My next point comes to the game, now Jonas Gustavsson didn't honestly play bad. The Bruins came out and after the first period I was whistling dixie out my ass. Jonas was playing very well, defense only had like 5 turnovers and our team was decent through the neutral zone, not to mention that Detroit was losing 1-0 to New York.... Then the 2nd period came and in typical Bruins fashion they sat back and let the onslaught take them in their own zone and turned the puck over almost as if on purpose a multitude of times. Then came the 4 goals in 8 minutes and just like that the Bruins season was over. Andrew Hammond while not a solidified goaltender has definitely proven that he can hold a 3 goal lead. The Bruins stormed back with some good chances but like in so many games before this one their neutral zone play and defense turnovers fucked them.

This offseason in my opinion 1 of 2 things need to happen to this Bruins team. We need offload some of the more "casual" guys. I don't give a fuck who they are we need vocal leaders in this clubhouse. 2nd thing that NEEDS to happen and this is a DJ Khaled major fucking key if we want any shot at being any better than this year. We need a stay at home D man that can play against the top 2 lines and on the PK because that is no longer Zdeno Chara, and it most certainly isn't Adam McQuaid or Dennis Seidenberg either. So let's go out and get that guy we have like 5-8 forwards and picks that we could trade for. I promise you right now too that if we let Claude go right now too that he'll have another job somewhere in the NHL immediately so I don't really agree with that whole "blow the building up" mentality.

Patrice Bergeron said after gm he was playing w/broken rib, torn rib cartilege and he separated shoulder during Game 6 #BruinsTalk #Warrior
