a blog by Big Red Despite shooting 68% from the line in his one and done season at Duke, the lakers newest guard claims to have shot 100% from the stripe throughout 4 years of high school. There's no doubt that Brandon Ingram was the real deal in high school. The 6'9 gumby looking fuck led his high school team to 4 straight state championships while dominating on the offensive end. Take a look at some of his high school highlights. To think that this kid went 4 years in high school while not missing a free throw is insanity. Since he was such an offensive threat, there's no doubt in my mind that he was shooting at least 4-6 free throws every game. To think that he was perfect from the line in 4 years is mind blowing. It is hard to get high school stats, even when were dealing with one of the top high school prospects in the nation. However this may not be the case. MaxPreps, the nations leading high school sports media company, has Ingram as a 77% free throw shooter for 3 years of his high school career.
When recently asked about the legend of the perfect free throw career, Ingram said, "Most definitely, that's true." So it's whether or not we want to believe this kid or not. I think the only way I would believe this urban legend, is if we can get a video of Brandon Ingram's coach or high school teammates confirming it. I'm sure the Lakers are hoping and praying that he will shoot better than 68% from the stripe this season as he looks to fill the void of Kobe Bryant. Comments are closed.
