a blog by Brian Welcome friends, morluks, scanvis, humans, chumangins, hawks and bird-people. Species from across dimensions may enter freely to the Tuesday slotted segment. We do ask that you keep your hands, feet, falop lop tin, and greer inside the blog at all times. Normally, this blog will occupy the Monday slot. The boys, contrary to popular opinion, do still celebrate Columbus day. I don't really understand what the big deal is, I thought we all knew what happened with Columbus. I also thought we all knew that Columbus never landed on the continental United States... Cuba, Jamaica, Panama, Dominican Republic... Come on people. None of those places were ever apart of the United States. If you as white 10-22 year olds want to condemn the genocide that gave your ancestors the ability to breed and/or travel here, and post-humorously breed upon arrival, try to point the finger at the right people. The. God. Damn. Pilgrims. Fucking Pilgrimming around, "Oh come take our corn, Native Indians. Come take our corn, so that we can establish an unsustainable industry surrounding it, in order to create a massive government subsidy to save 15 jobs and cater to the wheems of the three large corporations that own those jobs". Columbus was a scumbag, no doubt. But how many of you can honestly look me in the blog and say, "I am not a scumbag"? Ahhhhhhh haaaa, got ya bitch. Listen, I am not defending Christoph Columbini, what I am saying, if the people who run this country are dumb enough to give us a day off, for the birthday of a man, who essentially did nothing to establish the history of this nation, fuckin take it. Another thing I hope you guys know about Columbus, he was funded by the Spaniards. He was a god damn Spanish puppet. Don't you think if Christoph had real influence on the creation of this nation, that Spanish would be the dominant language? Thought Food. It's there if you want it. Moving on, Last week went fairly well for the picks. I went 2-1, yet that was the least impressive thing about my predictions. I think it is fair to tell you, I sniped the MMA pick and the NFL pick. A lot of people, a lot, a whole bunch, were scared away from that Patriots line. I was not, I was better than the rest and I made the hard choice, a real hard one. One that people did criticize me for.
The MMA pick was basically a lock. I was not entirely sold on my unanimous decision prediction but in hindsight it was not a dangerous pick to make. I think my Red Sox pick deserves the most blog time just because it was so wrong. If you didn't pick or didn't watch, the Astros left field wall is the shortest in the major leagues. It has been, ever since I can remember*. The Astros also have an MVP candidate, Jose Altuve, and a bunch of right handed batters who rake yo. Typically, right handed batters against left handed pitching is an advantage for the batters. This also works in the opposite scenario. So, there is that but luckily the Red Sox were eliminated from the Playoffs yesterday. Now, I no longer have some sort of attachment to any team in the baseball realm. Not to carry on too much, but that line was pretty bad and the only reason I can think why I made the decision to choose Game 1 was that I may have gotten caught up in the glee of week 1 Thursday Picks. I won't let it happen again. But, if you were going to be theoretically betting with me, we made some money anyway. The three pick system never fails. Unless, you lose two, or three. That would never happen with me though, just you, so stick with me and not the voice inside your head. *clearest baseball memories stem from the time period of MVP Baseball 2004* Comments are closed.
