a blog by Big Red And there you have it, Ben Simmons goes number 1. Not much of a surprise, but lets take a look at what that means for Philly.. Philly now has a little promise, as Simmons is certainly a very talented guy. He can dribble better than just about any 6'10 big man I've ever witnessed. Ben Simmons will most likely be a point forward type player like Lebron James, and no I'm not saying he's going to be as good as Lebron... Now what does this have in store for Philly. Well if Philly manages to swing a trade with the Celtics, then they might be looking at acquiring a guy like Kris Dunn. And if the trade does not work out for Philly, then they might be able to swing a trade with a team like the Lakers. Maybe trade one of their young talents for a guy like D'Angelo Russell especially because Russell has tons of drama surrounding him in the locker room. If either of these two scenarios pan out, looks like Philly might be a much stronger team this season. Here's some highlights from Simmons to show you what he's capable of. First his high school highlights followed by his college highlights at LSU last year. Can't wait to see how he stacks up against some real NBA competition, or at the very least I can't wait to see him in the summer league...
