a blog by La Kifo In an interview with GQ, Charlize Theron bashed her perfect looks. The actress stated, "Jobs with real gravitas go to people that are physically right for them and that’s the end of the story. How many roles are out there for the gorgeous, f***ing, gown-wearing eight-foot model? When meaty roles come through, I’ve been in the room and pretty people get turned away first.” She went on later to say, “We live in a society where women wilt and men age like fine wine. And, for a long time, women accepted it. We were waiting for society to change, but now we’re taking leadership. It would be a lie to say there is less worry for women as they get older than there is for men... It feels there’s this unrealistic standard of what a woman is supposed to look like when she’s over 40.”
People have said it before, people will say it again. Hollywood is a bunch of discriminatory, marginalizing dick heads. They hate black people, they hate beautiful people. Who does Hollywood love? Charlize and I have the answer. Ugly people. Hollywood loves ugly people, the evidence is all around us. Why do you think Leo just won his first oscar? Because, he has penetrating blue eyes, a sharp defined jaw line, and a chiseled body. Look at whos beaten him, Forrest Whittaker, gross and has a lazy eye, Mattew Mconahey, keep in mind he beat Leo for the movie Dallas Buyers Club where Mconahey looked so ugly they had to give him the award. Want more proof, look at Mconaheys career. He never recieved any accolades for his work on Fools Gold, or Failure to Launch. Why? Because he was a big hunk with the beauty of a swan. Now look at him, a frail stick figure who looks like his skin is being held up by safety pins. All of a sudden he gets all these great roles, True Detective, those Lincoln ads. As soon as he turned ugly, his career came around. We need to start a movement, maybe a kickstarter page, to get beautiful people in movies. It is totally unfair that Charlize has to go into a reading just to be thrown out the door because of her beauty. If Hollywood doesnt do something soon, all the pretty actress's are going to turn to porn. While I would enjoy that immensely, I think it would be best for everyone to stop this nonsensical discrimination that runs rampant in the culture center of our country. Merica. Comments are closed.
