73 people were arrested in Amish country of Ohio, including 35 under-aged teenagers. Holmes County sheriff office raided the party being held in an large open field with 40 officers of the law.
The Columbus Dispatch:

Authorities in the heart of Ohio’s Amish country say they arrested more than 70 people in a raid at a weekend party in a field that was expected to attract hundreds of Amish youth.

More than 40 officers converged Saturday on the Hardy Township field west of Millersburg off of Rt. 39 after concerned parents notified the Holmes County sheriff’s office of a large party expected to attract over 1,000 Amish from Ohio and neighboring states.

Investigators say 73 people, including 35 juveniles, were taken into custody and charged with underage consumption of alcohol.

The Daily Record of Wooster reports that some also face charges of resisting arrest, and two were taken to a hospital for alcohol related-illness.
The Amish go hard. I didn't even know they were allowed to drink or party. I would have thought that the Amish were prohibited from gathering in large numbers in the dark of the night. You can say a lot about the Amish, but one thing you can't, they don't have fun.

Clearly the Amish throw rips all the time, in the article, law enforcement claimed that there was a large Amish party on Memorial day. It was estimated to have a similar attendance. Big question is why the Amish Mafia protected the Memorial day party and not this most recent one. Maybe the Amish Mafia doesn't believe in Labor Day, maybe they don't fuck with police, or open fields who knows?
