It's official Al Horford is now a Boston Celtic. Let's take a look at what that now means for Boston this season.
LET'S FUCKING GO! Huge move for Danny Ainge and the Boston Celtics. Horford signed to a 4 year deal worth 113 million dollars. Totally worth every dollar. We needed to pick up a household name to take some of the weight off of Isaiah's shoulders, and oh boy did we get it. Last year, Horford averaged 15.2 ppg, 7.3 rpg, and 1.5 bpg while shooting OVER 50% from the field. While he doesn't take an outrageous amount of shots, he makes each one count. He lead all NBA centers in 3 point shooting last season, which is much needed in the Celtics lineup. Not to mention, Kelly Olynyk was one of the top 3 point shooting centers right behind Horford, so the duo could be lethal next year.
I cannot wait to see what else the Celtics have in store for free agency, as we just met with Kevin Durant in the Hamptons earlier today. The Celts decided to bring Tom Brady to the meeting to show Durant what it looks like to be a Champion and a legend in the city of Boston.
While it looks like Durant will most likely stay with OKC, the Celtics look a hell of a lot more appealing to Durant with Horford now on the team. Everyone should say a prayer that Durant chooses Boston. And remember what Kevin Garnett once screamed, "ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE"..
